New Unit Performance at Reconditioned Unit Prices

In order to deliver the performance of a new pumping unit at the price of a reconditioned pumping unit, we put all of our used units through a 7-step reconditioning process.  Panhandle stands by its reconditioned units with our full 1-year warranty commitment.  Scroll down to see our latest inventory.

Panhandle’s 7-step reconditioning process includes:

  1. Remove all excessive parts on unit with crane or winch truck
    • Belt Guard
    • Motors – electric or gas
    • Crank arm guards, etc.
  2. Pull lid on gearbox off
    • Check gears for wear
    • Drain old oil and clean with solvent
    • Check bearing slack
    • Fill with fresh oil to factory specs
    • Reseal lid on gearbox
  3. Lift crank arms with lifting component by chain
    • Chain off sheave to base
    • Set brake if in working condition
    • Remove nut from wrist pins
    • Remove wrist pins
    • Check weight bolts to ensure tightness
  4. Remove tail from equalizer and beam
  5. Remove saddle from beam
  6. Fix all bearings at Panhandle shop
    • Teardown wrist pin, tail, saddle bearings
    • Replace bearings and seals then reassemble
    • Replace parts on unit in designed area
    • Insert wrist pins in crank arms
    • Tail and saddle on beam
  7. Power wash unit and paint to customer specifications with tips and highlights
